This application is for people wishing to intervene constructively in an emergency situation. It was designed to be simple, and its user principles are those commonly found on standard Iphone apps.

The main menu, First Aid, contains seven red buttons with icons corresponding to particular subjects: Burns, Bleeding, Choking, Frostbite, Poisoning, Hypothermia and Resuscitation. You access each of these sections by pressing the button corresponding to the subject for which you are searching.

The main menu also has two orange buttons : Alarm and Heartbeat. Press the alarm button if you want to attract attention or get help. The Heartbeat button is a sound recording to assist you in performing certain manoeuvres (resuscitation, for example) at the right pace.

The second menu also contains 7 buttons designed for use in wilderness survival. You can learn how to build a shelter, light a fire, obtain water and food, keep animals at bay, treat animal bites and transport a wounded person. The situations here are not as dire as those in the first section, but the information is extremely useful nonetheless. An alarm and Heartbeat button are also available on this menu, should you need them.

At the bottom of the First Aid and Survival menus are four buttons. In Medical File, you can fill in your important personal medical data. By clicking on the empty square next to the lines for your Last Name and First Name, you may select a photograph from your album or take a picture of yourself if your phone allows it.

At the bottom of the Medical File section, you can select “Press here to save an image to put on the locked screen.”  This function allows automatic display of your medical file when your phone is on standby. Rescuers will not have to search for your medical information in the application should you ever find yourself in peril.

The 9-1-1 section allows you to call for help by simply pressing a red button. It contains a list of friends and family to contact in an emergency, and your GPS coordinates, when this is possible.

Finally, the First Aid and Survival buttons allow you to switch from one menu to the other.
